Arriving by car
Streat Place Barn can only be accessed from Streat Lane.
Please use a SatNav to direct you to either of these postcodes:
BN6 8SB – northern end of Streat Lane, Middleton Common Lane/Helena Lane
BN6 8RR – southern end of Streat Lane, from the B2116)
Please then follow either of these directions:

When arriving on Streat Lane from the north BN6 8SB
Travel along Streat Lane for about 1.75 miles (you will be travelling towards the South Downs hills). At the top of a little hill which is covered over in trees look out for a red phone box and church on your right - take this right turn which is a farmtrack that takes you around the side of Streat Church. Streat Place Barn is then the very first right turn after the Church. On the turning you should spot a blackboard for Suzy's Streat Food. There is a wooden gate straight ahead, the Streat Place Barn entrance is a metal gate to the left of it. Parking is in front of The Dairy within the barnyard, please remember to close the gate behind you. Welcome, you are here!

When arriving on Streat Lane from the south BN6 8RR
Travel along Streat Lane for about 1.25 miles (you will be travelling away from the South Downs hills). Streat Place Barn is then the very first right turn after the Church. On the turning you should spot a blackboard for Suzy's Streat Food. On your arrival

Arriving by train

Hassocks or Burgess Hill are our nearest main train stations with taxi ranks outside. From the train stations you will need to take a taxi, we always advise giving a print out of these directions and map to your driver!

Arriving by plane
Gatwick is the nearest airport. From here it is about 30 minutes by car/taxi coming south on the A23, or 20 minutes by train to Hassocks or Burgess Hill station.
From Heathrow there are a few options – a taxi direct from Heathrow, about £135; a coach to Gatwick, train to Hassocks, then taxi; the underground to Paddington, then underground to Victoria, train to Hassocks or Burgess Hill, then taxi.
From your final train station you will need to take a taxi, we always advise giving a print out of these directions and map to your driver!

Arriving on foot
There is another train station in the nearby village of Plumpton, this is a rural station and there isn't a taxi rank - if you are travelling light and happy to walk about 30 minutes along footpaths please contact us for directions.

Booking terms and conditions

On cancellation of a booking the 50% deposit is retained and, once the 50% balance has been received, both deposit and balance are retained. Your balance can only be refunded if an alternative guest books at the last minute over your original dates. Any refunds will be issued by bank transfer.

On your arrival

Jinks and Steve aim to be here to welcome all guests on arrival. If for some reason they are not able to, the front door to The Dairy / Shepherd’s Hut will be left unlocked for you, with the keys in the porch / on the table.

Check-in & check-out times

Both The Dairy and Shepherd’s Hut are available to check-in from 4pm. On your final day please check-out by 10am.
